At Cinevita Films, our aerial cameras are operated by a skilled pilot with extensive training and a complete understanding of the laws and FAA guidelines, but also by a director of photography who will be able to get the most compelling shots possible. We were contracted to produce an video showing the experience of a college student. We wanted to go a step beyond and produce something that would really stand out in the crowd of college marketing. We decided to build a rig that would put the camera at eye level, which would allow us to capture a first person perspective of the hero student and their daily activities. While we may have looked completely ridiculous as we were filming, running around with a helmet camera, but in the end we and the client were pleased with the results.
